Sorting at the source

March 19, 2019

The importance of sorting at source.

The source means the first point of discarding of the waste material. For example if you are a worker in a restaurant do not combine both bottles, paper and food items into one dustbin, but be conscious and have a mindset change to know that there are different types of waste that you are dealing with and that you should place the bottles into a separate bin designated for bottles, paper likewise and so forth.

Some business might complain of space for the bins, time for staff to complete that task, but if you really think about it, it is not that difficult to do if you set your mind to it and train your staff that this is imperative and a requirement of their role to do so. The environment is ours and we need to take care of it.

The importance of this is that we then slowly inculcate the importance of recycling in the minds of the general population and it becomes common practice amongst all.
No waste – sort sort sort it is your future.
