For many years warning signs have been given that households as well as Commercial business should recycle the waste so as to prevent all general and wet waste landing up in the landfills.
Some households and business have made the effort to heed to this request, however many have not and this is leading to the depletion of landfill space.
Jozi working for you is one example where government has taken the initiative to force households to proactively recycle at the source.
Let us not sit back and hope somebody else will do it for us as for the example of Eskom – Load shedding is now a common occurrence and part of our lives. The instance where refuse may not have a place to be dumped is also an imminent reality that we as a society need to work on eliminating.
